Depending on the contact method chosen by the visitor, Matthew 13:23 Ministries may collect the following information:

  • Telephone number:  Matthew 13:23 Ministries staff may not disclose the number to a third party without the permission of the visitor
  • Email address (if the website contact form is used)

 

Event registration

When visitors register for an event on our website, we collect information such as name, email address and organization as part of the registration form.  This information is not shared with any third party, but is used for internal purposes such as event administration.  Event participants may be added to our email subscription list for newsletters, but may unsubscribe at any time.

 

Newsletters

Subscribers to our website, event participants and online donors may receive occasional information and correspondence from us sent to the registered email address.  Any user may at any time opt out, which will lead to their email address automatically being removed from the distribution list.

 

Chat and email form messages

Visitors to our website may wish to contact us via webchat or completing an online contact form.  Webchat exchanges are stored in our system and can only be accessed by authorized staff. The user may choose not to disclose his/her real name.

Exchanges via email require the user to input an email address so that we can respond to the enquiry.  The email address and content of the email is stored securely in our system and can only be accessed by authorized users.  Content of the email exchange is treated as confidential by our Matthew 13:23 Ministries staff.

Aggregated data from these user interactions may be used for statistical purposes.  Matthew 13:23 Ministries may quote information from these exchanges for educational purposes, but will always modify sensitive content and exclude details that could be used to identify a specific visitor to our site.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that subscribe to our website, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.  Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
